The new moon was seen in Israel on Monday 27-2-2017
- Roy Hoffman - I saw the Moon this evening (Monday 27th February 2017) from Givat Ram, Jerusalem, Israel. The Moon appeared with binoculars (25 x 100 mm) in a clear patch of sky at 17:39 (UTC+02) and to the naked eye in another clear patch of sky at 17:58. The Moon disappeared behind the clouds at 18:04. The sky was partially cloudy and somewhat hazy. Temperature 15°C, humidity 36%, pressure 925 mBar.
- Tom Rosenfeld - z found the moon behind a mist of clouds at 17:53 with binoculars. By 6:00 it totally disappeared behind a low cloud-bank. Could not see it without binos

- Augustus Paul - Dominica - It was 18:24 when I caught sight of the biblical twelfth new moon, eleven minutes after the sun set at 18:13, this Monday evening 27th February 2017 without a single bit of cloud hindrance.
